I am starting to get stronger finally… my accident was in May so it has been a long time.

The right shoulder is still very “crunchy” and sometimes when I stretch my sternum goes “crack” too. My main concern is the fact I have a very weak situation with any “pushing” moves like a bench press.
bench_pressI am lucky to get 60kg up at the moment when before the prang I could do 110 partials.

My thinking is this - I probably have some ligament damage, and maybe crushed muscle fibres from the sealtbelt too. So the key to fixing it is to really strengthen up the shoulder muscles and upper back to hold everything together with muscle and tendon rather than ligaments alone.

Will keep you informed. BTW my site Gold Coast Personal Training has hit Google’s front page after eight weeks. Not bad if I say so myself. If you want this sort of performance for your website, give me a call, and let’s hatch a plot to get your site onto Googles front page too.

Well wishes.
Rick

Well, I bought myself one of those littls flat cameras that do movies too.

It’s a Canon SD750 I picked up on Ebay for US$120 including delivery. (Some clown bought one here from an Australian for AU$275. Shows what happens when you get carried away with “Auction Fever”).

This was around average and according to the seller, it has only been used twice. it looks like it. The only thing i had to get for it was a larger SD memory card. I discovered that this camera is “USA issue only” but the newer high speed cards work ok. So I bought an 8gig card from my local Roberts Boys Retravision.

Now I am getting into the habit of carrying it everywhere, because you never know when a moment will occur for you to record and add value to your blog or other business communication.

Here is my first movie ever with it.

If you want to achieve your fitness goals, you must enlist a personal trainer.

Why? Because he or she will provide you with a fitness program that is custom-designed for you and will yield you fast results.

It doesn’t matter whether you want to lose weight, build muscles, reshape your body, recover from an injury or improve your holistic health and wellness. A personal trainer will be of great help.

He or she will work with your one-on-one in the gym or at your home, providing you with customised exercises and diet plans based on your goals as well as your health condition.

The job of a personal trainer is to provide clients with health and fitness solutions.

If you hire one, you will get undistracted attention and genuine concern for the fitness goals you are working on. He or she will help you achieve your goals and in the end, you will reap the rewards of having a fit and fabulous body.

With a personal trainer, you will be imparted with vital knowledge on how your body works, how to execute exercises properly to prevent injuries, how many exercises and repetitions, how much weight you should lift, and what foods should you eat. A personal trainer will provide you with the whole package.

Personal trainers work with men and women of all ages regardless of their fitness goals and fitness levels. personal_training_fitness

Housewives, executives, retired individuals, laborers and individuals wanting to improve their health and wellness, fitness, and self esteem can find help from a personal trainer.

So what does a competent and expert personal trainer do? Well, there are plenty of things and these are as follows:

•    Create a positive lifestyle program.
•    Ensure to get the best possible result from your fitness program in the safest and most effective manner.
•    Provide variety in exercise programs to avoid monotony and boredom.
•    Encourage, challenge, and motivate you.
•    Give out full understanding on how your body works.
•    Respond to all your concerns.
•    Keep you accountable to your fitness routines.
•    Train and guide you through the exercises in such a way that you yourself can execute them.

Before you start a session with a personal trainer, you will provide him or her your complete health history and of course your specific goals. With this information, he or she can determine what exercise program and diet plan will fit you.

Your first session with a personal trainer, he or she will conduct an overall assessment – weight, measurement, body composition, and photos. Once these are completed, you will be given a tailored fitness program which includes strength training and cardio.

Easy!!

lose_weightWell time flies doesn’t it?

And when you sit about not exercising so much, the waistline grows - I went from 79 to 82 kilos over the last 10 weeks despite some fairly intense walking. Not enough of it I guess, and I like (no - love) my feel good, high carb comfort foods to keep the cold out…

Anyway, I just started back at the gym on the spin bike, and am crafting a heavy weight workout to do just before that, twice a week.

As we know, research has shown that if you want to build maximum muscle in minimum time and burn FAT, you need to do an intense weights session, rest for 20 minutes then do an intense cardio session.

Here’s why. The heavy weights  routine burns the sugar kept in your muscles and liver if you do it hard enough. Thus the only place you can get the energy for the cardio session after wards is FAT. Yay!!

My right shoulder is getting stronger by the way, but crunchy as heck!
I think there is some ligament/tendon damage there and hope the physio has some answers for me when I start rehab early in August.

Other news - I write articles for some online publications in a number of different fields including health and fitness - heck I can’t work as a trainer and need to do something that provides a cashflow in.

Plus I have teamed up with a designer to produce money sucking websites for the fitness industry and personal trainers ONLY.bored_polar_bear

Hey, how many of you have had a great experience with web design, or have heard horror stories or are just plain bored with your site. Imagine what your clients and potential clients think…

More news on that when it is up and running.

hmm…. oh here is a goodie

Cheeers for now - Rick
